a Registered Yoga School in Kajuraho, India. She studied in India for a month in order to immerse herself in the tradition of Yoga as a way of life.
She believes in practicing compassion in her life, and every path she is provided. Alissa wants to bring peace, serenity, strength, kindness and healing to her students. As a dancer for most of her life, she has a keen understanding of the human body. Alissa will teach you how yoga can be fun and fulfilling!
She conducts Trauma-Informed beginning, intermediate, advanced, pre/post natal, limited movement, and childrens lessons, either in a private, one-on-one setting, or group setting.
Alissa's most recent endeavor began in 2018 when she trained with Hala Khouri and Kyra Haglund in Trauma-Informed Yoga after experiencing her own traumatic miscarriage. She is currently servicing those who've experienced any kind of trauma, and is specializing in pregnancy loss and/or birth trauma by offering Trauma-Informed private and group sessions.
Alissa also teaches Private Yoga at Health & Human Performance, a chiropractic office in Woodland Hills. Together, with a talented team of Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, Acupuncturists, and Corrective Exercise Specialists, she is able to get a full understanding of her clients needs, both physically and mentally, and create a lesson that will provide them with the tools they need to manage acute to chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and physical imbalances.
She has experience working in Intensive Outpatient facilities offering yoga to those with Chronic Pain, Addiction, Eating Recovery, PTSD, and Dual Diagnosis by focusing on mind/body connection using yoga, meditation, and essential oils to aid in healing.
